RUSSON Painting/Lester ???

Hi

I have two beautiful abstract oil paintings by an artist that signs there work

RUSSON.

I believe these to be by an artist named Lester Russon?

Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hello Acesfull. Cool name you have. Listen I am new on this Board. Found this board, and your post, doing a routine search on Lester Russon. Saw the two image links, if those were indeed yours that you attached, and I can say for SURE one (the apparent African-American female done overall in red) is Russon. The other, the image was fuzzy and I couldn't say one way or the other.

Also saw that you are interested in the same upcoming ebay picture of his that I am. Uh-oh! Just kidding. You have great taste.

I could kick myself as there were two prior ebay Russons on ebay in the recent past, one about 6 months ago that went for a shocking $10, and another magnificant one called Black Madonna about 3 months ago that I was over my bid capacity. Did you see them?

If you want to dialogue about this artist let me now and you can email me as well. I have only recently discovered him. I have just one, and it is for sale.

Was the painting you saw on an ebay auction titled "Bubbles"? A little African American girl in a sea of overall green bubbles? Do you know where I can find more information on Lester Russon?

I Also Have A Picture Signed Russon. It Is A Still Life(vase,clear Apothacary Jar And A Pear) I Have Had It A Very Long Time. Is It Worth Anything Other Than The Fact That I Love It. Mawt

Lester Russon is my great uncle. I am a dancer, and I am doing a peice in an upcomming concert and the inpiration for my dance is coming from his original peice of a ballerina in pink with pillars behind her. have any of you ever seen it before, it's been in my bathroom my whole life and I need some information on it, as far as I know I can't obtain any kind of summary book on his paintings. My family has many of his paintings, the originals and we don't seem to have any explanation on any of them of why he painted them and where his inspiration came from or why he did paint them. I Appreciate any information. Thanks!
