I need help Identifying this Painting and Artist

Can Anyone help me identify this artist ?
The painting is oil on a wood panel about 10" x 6" and there a name on the back that looks like, Kogel Pinx or Rogel Dinx ?? and an date that appears to say 1738??
The subject is a man in uniform possible after a battle walking in sand or possibly clouds. there is fire in the back ground and a hand in the corner.
can anyone identify the uniform or battle ?? Thanks so much for any info
