I need help on painted this painting of a Clown playing a chello?

Help!! I got this painting at a estate sale and I've been trying for about 8 years now find the person that painted it:

Looks like it mey read "Marotti". There are painters named Liz Marotti and Giuseppe Marotti. Both are kind of semi-abstract in the same way, but I didn't see any works by either that are significantly similar to this painting.

Yeah John i've researched both those names already. In fact I did email Giuseppe Mariotti or someone that knew him and they said no it was not theirs. Oh well the search continues! Hey at least you now can view the picture on here and that make me a lot happier!
