Does anyone recognize the style of this piece? Or the signature? It might be an artist who has spent some time in California or Georgia. Many thanks in advance, as always.

Dunno but someone coincidentally posted an abstract work that had the same drop-shadow 3-dimensional effect not long ago. That painting proved to be by Mark Erickson.
http://www.artconversation.com/quest...ctro-help.html If that writing is the signature then it doesn't appear to fit "Mark Erickson". It's conceivable that this is the title instead, in which case I would guess the piece likely IS by Erickson. "Marin Marina"??? |

BTW, this piece or its twin appears to be listed on Craiglist right now, for $2900.

It's true - the piece is currently on Craigslist. Impressive. I got the photo's from the gentleman who posted, because I saw the art and was stunned that it looked like a piece I owned. I've been trying for a very long time to find out more about my work, which is unsigned, and which I've posted previously on this forum but got no replies. The dots/stippling/texture in both pieces are eerily similar. I'll post the pictures again side-by-side below. Image #3 is mine. I figure, if the signature on #1 and 2 can be deciphered, that'll lead me to the artist for my piece. Thanks!!!
