Can anyone tell me the name of this artist?

I would like to know if anyone can tell me who this artist is? it only goes by a logo instead of a signature.

Perhaps the NYC Marathon organizers would have some info about the poster. Also the New York Times must have the information filed away somewhere.

Thank you John..All they came up with is that he never signed any of his works just the logo. They seemed a bit clueless as to where to begin looking. I am still awaiting any other information. So any other suggestions?
