Many readers will be interested in this audio lecture recently given by Malcolm Gladwell (Blink!) on the way artists divide into those who peak when they are younger and those who peak later in life (eg. Picasso vs Cezanne)

I've only listened to the first part which is very interesting for those interested in studying creativity, aesthetics, and reputations in both art and literature.
