Default Any Info on this oil portrait signed "Corte's"

My friend bought this oil painting in Balitmore MD in the '70s. He wanted the frame but fell in love with the painting. Can anyone reconize the style of the signature? No first name or inital. Painted on canvas with a wooden backing.

Thanks for your help.

I assume it's Cortés -- i.e. it's an accent over the e, not an apostrophe. It's a fairly popular Spanish name.

Smile Corte`s Painting

This painting is similar to the one I bought in Alcala de Hernes, Spain in 1972 from the artist who painted it. I did meet the artist personally, and purchased the painting from him when he finished it. It took him about a month to finish it. My painting is a little different, but it is from the same artist. Please reply.

I just purchased a painting that appears to be from the same artist. The guy I got it from said the previous owner got it in Spain in the early 80's. The painting is dated 1975. I am very excited to find this thread/website. This is the first piece of art I've ever purchased and have been searching for information on the artist. If anyone has anything further to add, I would love to hear it.

Default Corte's

I purchased a painting by the same artist in Madrid Spain in 1972 while there on vacation. I looked at a lot of paintings and bought a topless nude painted by Corte's. I am interested in selling my painting and would also like some information about the value of his work. If any one is interested in purchasing my painting please feel free to contact me. r.leavitt@hotmail.com

I'd be interested in seeing the other paintings by this artist that some of you have. I know it's a little off topic, but i enjoy looking at art.

Default corte's paintings

I have three paintings purched from this artist in spain in the early 70s. The three that iI have are of his wife who was his model. He painted many of his painting with his model holding a potery jug under her arm. I regard these paintings as the best of my colection.
