I cant find a painting I saw once - does this description sound familliar to anyone?
I saw this painting a while back and I'd LOVE to find it again; It's a realistic painting of a nude (tasteful) woman laying on a bed with her back facing you. She is laying from right to left on the canvas with her head on the right side and there is white (ish) bedding around her. The wall in the background is a gray/green/bluish color and it has evenly spaced dried roses hanging on the wall above her. The light is very soft white and beautiful - as if the room's only light source was a window in the ceiling. Not man made light. The color pallet is very muted pastel grays, blues, greens and whites, but the room still looks a little dark. It reminds me of a something painted in France before the modern era. Sound familiar? I've looked all over the web for it and can't find it. thanks for your help |
