Trying to identify this painting/artist
This oil painting has a signature of Gilbert on the lower left (kind of a sloppy signature). On the back it has a sticker on the frame that say Famous French Galleries Worthington Ohio (not a current business or gallery). Also on the back of the canvas there is very faint writings that say Gilbert SY1337 or SYB37. The painting is 24x48 and has plenty of brush strokes.
The reason why I need to find out, it is starting to crack in some areas and I want to determine if I should have it restored and preserved?
