Greetings,
I don't think your prints are rare or valuable. I found two of them on eBay. One of the Her First Ball Dress (framed - same size as yours) sold for about $4.00 (US dollars). Another seller has that print and Mafalda listed and is asking for a starting bid of about $20.00 (US Dollars). No bids have been placed. If you do find out they are valuable - do post it here. I couldn't find any images of the Japanese Room. CP Productions is a manufacturer of framed art work -- from Northern Ireland. Regards, Judy Decker |

I have acquired a large Mafalda print, signed by artist Leonard Campbell Taylor, framed. Anyone know it's worth? I am looking to sell it.

[quote=Unregistered]Greetings,
I inherited two lithographs by LCT from my mom. They belonged to my grandmother and were hanging in her dining room as far back as I remember (early 1950's). I recently had one rematted and the individual who did that told me that the one which I most admire ( a woman in blue dress standing, asian corner cabinet & asian pictures in background) was a lithograph printed in Germany &called "The Japanese Room. I don't know the name of the other, but it is also quite lovely. A woman sitting, bending slightly forward, wearing a pale dress, spinning wheel at her side, mirror, asian cabinet & chairs in background. Both are approx. 17 or 18 by 21. Would anyone be familiar with the name of the 2nd mentioned? I don't think your prints are rare or valuable. I found two of them on eBay. |

I have acquired a print and it is quite old in an old frame. It has a handwritten piece on the back which says"THE CORRIDOR from an original oil painting by Leonard Campbell Taylor". It could be up to 80yrs old I guess.( don't know when it was originally painted. It is about 68cm x 42cm.
It is of a corridor with a woman in a red dress and blue shaw and a gentleman in black cloak and frockcoat and tails with top hat in his hand. The woman is holding a posy. I saw another similar print with the same title on a website but it was a solitary figure just one woman but the identical background so I am confused as to the title now. The corridor has arches and gives a 3D effect. I love the picture and as the backing was deteriorating I decided to take it out of the frame and reback it with the original description left on it. I couldn't tell if it was a print or an original until I got it out of theframe as it is such a good print that through the glass the texture of the oils came through. Is there a market for a very old edition of a print like this of this size and would it be of any value |

We have a print which appears to be similar to the one described. It was painted in a house in Odiham, Hampshire (now called The Old Bank house ) The male is my grandfather, Lawrence Hartnett and the female is Ellen Hand. We believe that several different versions of the same location exist. We would like to know if the original can be viewed anywhere and whether the prints have any value.
