Default Painting ID / Info Please

Hello,
I've just found a couple of paintings and wondered if anyone could help provide some information on them. I'd be interested to know more about the subjects along with the Artists names if possible. I just have one signature which I'm a bit unsure of. See what you think. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Paul.

I believe this is Margaret Dovaston (1884-1954).

Here's a page about her:

Thank you John. Great source on the Artist and really helpful. I found her war time work very interesting. On closer inspection to the piece above this morning, there is some damage and it's clear that it's a laquered print.

I'm still keen to find out more about the other piece. Could anyone help identify the red uniforms? Thanks again, Paul.

Hello John
it appears that they are dressed in the 1600's to 1800's I have seen this picture but since it was not what I was looking for I can't tell you what web site it was on. try typing in artist from the 1600's and check those pictures out, the 1700 and afterwards 1800's. there you will find a lot of art during that error.
