My 2' x 4' painting is truly beautiful. I got it at an estate sale. It is in a beautiful gold frame. There is a wide waterfall in the middle of the picture with a curvy path going uphill into the woods on the right hand side. There are mountains in the background similar to the pictures for sale on ebay by r boren. I know it is an oil painting and not a print. The waterfall is so well done. I too would like to know more.

Hello my name is Lesley and I live in England.I too have a R. Boran large oil painting. It is Autumn colours with rocks and a lake with misty mountains in the background, it sounds different to the other ones mentioned on here. We have had this painting for at least thirty years and we paid about £80 pounds for it, which was a lot of money in those days.Hope this is interesting for you collectors out there. The signiture is on the left as you look at the painting. Hope this is interesting for all you collectors out there. Best wishes. Lesley. xx

It's very interesting to hear all of the stories. I also own a Gorgeous Painting sized about 2 feet high by 4 feet wide. Similar to the painting everyone has mentioned with the Cabin, small water fall .... In God's country I guess you could say. A Gorgeous painting that should be worth $1000s if you ask me. God Bless & Have a nice day.

I have always wondered about the Artist, was he still painting, did he paint many Pictures, was he a young Person, or old, well known, etc., etc. ?
I sure have never heard about him, or seen another Painting with his Name on it. Yes, i have the same, the one Everyone is writing about. The funny Thing is, i bought it at an Department Store, i think it was called, Zayres, about 25 Years ago, for $ 24.00 ? There is no Frame on mine, and i never thought it was worse anything. I like it, the Scenery is so peaceful looking, had a lot of Compliments over the Years. I enjoyed reading all your Comments, sounds like i'm not the only one interested in R.Boren. How could we find out, if, or what his Paintings are really worse ? |

I also have the large painting of a cabin, mountain, river/stream with
the signature "R. Boren" in the lower left-hand side of the painting. I read a July 2011 comment stating that Asian artists copy this painting and "always sign his name in the right-hand corner". Does that make my painting authentic and not a copy? How can we easily find the appraisal value for this painting? Any suggestions? |

I also have a large R. Boren painting: cabin, moutains, river/stream and it is very nicely done. The " R. Boren" signature is on the left hand side of the painting, so does that mean that my painting is not a copy done by an Asian artist?? How can we easily find out the appraisal value of this painting? |

Does this help you lot? I wonder if it's the same Boren? Note that the entries are from around 2005 and several people were asking about the R Boren paintings of mountains, cabins, ships, etc...
I found the info at: http://www.boren.org/guestbook/guestbook.html The webmaster wrote: COMMENT FROM THE WEBMASTER: I am not related to the artist but if anyone would like to send me a picture of his work I would love to post it. Please email me at webmaster(at)boren.orgAnd a Boren fan in California posted on their site and here's the actual post: For all of you who have asked me for information about oil paintings by R.E.Boren, or Richard Boren, I have great news! Mr. Boren has agreed to allow me to give out his email address. I think Mr. Boren is a liitle modest, as he has expressed to me, that "not all of his paintings are that great". For all of you who have indicated interest, joy, or pure enjoyment of his paintings, now is the time to let him know. You may contact him at: REBoren111@webtv.net. Don't let it interfere with your enjoyment of the painting. The vast majority of paintings purchased in a gallery can never be resold at a profit. $600 isn't that much for an oil painting, and if you've had it up in your house for 14 years it sounds like you got your money's worth.

I have this huge beautiful black and white oil painting from R. Boren. When you place the painting in the sunlignt it glows. This painting was given to me and I just wanted more information on the artist. If someone out there could let me know I would truly appreciate it.
