Unregistered

Hi...Can anyone help me identify the name of this painting and the artist? I am fairly certain the person on the horse is Methodist circuit rider/preacher Bishop Francis Asbury circa very early 1800's. I found the pic on a church website in the U.S., and e-mailed them, but even they don't seem to have any information on it, or remember where they got the pic.
