Default Old Painting - Karl Kaufmann

Hello, have anyone heard of this artist? I've had one of his paintings for awhile now and just feel like knowing who it really is. If anyone really knows that would be great.

Thanks alot!

Here's some info about him. It looks to be valued around a few hundred to a couple thousand.

He does seem to be a listed artist, but the above link thankfully seems to be for a different Karl Kaufmann.

There's a fair amount of information available on Google if you stick "painter" in the search text:

...Another useful trick is to put the artist's birth and death dates in the search text, so as to eliminate references to other Karl Kaufmanns. Doing this pulls up some additional relevant links:

Doesn't look like there's a lot of information about him really.

I was thinking on taking to an appraiser but I don't think it would be all that useful since it's not a really "known" artist. I do know that the art work he has done that actually has his signature go for more than his "fake" name's he signed as.

Anyway, thanks

There are also a few places where many of his past auction prices can be checked out for free. These sites seem to have his death date as 1901, instead of 1905 which I found from another source.
