Default Who is this 19th century artist?

My wife and I inherited some art work from her aunt. She often collected prints and originals from well known artists such as Guy Pene du Bois. We have an 19th century miniature portrait in a handmade wood and plaster adorned frame. The painting is of a lovely young woman in bonnet and shawl. It is very meticulous. The initials on the bottom left are signed
L.H. 1829. The L looks slightly like an E, the bottom horizontal is a little longer than a midpoint mark. I believe it is an L. Considering my wife’s aunt’s habit of collecting fine artwork I would very much like to identify this piece. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've included a scan of the piece.
