Maybe a long-shot...Franz Marc was a German Expressionist and a member of the Blue Rider Group (working toward Abstraction). He loved to paint animals -- horses, deer, cows, rabbits, tigers, elephants in his colorful, bright style. The paintings look nothing like the work in your link BUT Marc also did many pencil sketches in nature and at the zoo that are completely realistic, sketchy depictions of those same animals.
The point of view in your work resembles a POV that can be seen in Marcs sketches and paintings (the other POV we frequently see is one where we seem to be behind the animal and are looking at whatever the animal is looking at!) Anyway...I thought I'd suggest it as a possibility for your research. Remember - you're not looking for a bright, colorful Marc painting, try looking for his animal sketches/studies etc... Good Luck. |
