Major art / museum exhibitions in London in January

I have a culture vulture friend coming to stay with me in London in January / February and want to take her to some big, exciting exhibitions - things like Turbine Hall now, Terracotta Warriors etc. - any ideas of where I can take her and what will be on around that time. I have no idea about culture so any help much appreciated

Here's a list of art museums to get you started.

The key ones are the National gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, the Tate Modern and Tate Britain, the British Museum, the V & A. Most of these are the "classics"; if your friend is into contemporary art there are plenty of locations for that as well, including maybe the Saatchi Gallery. Not sure what they're up to now.
