I first got interested in the project when I saw some
vids on youtube, just before when it was first set up in London. Basically, it's all about accessing stored information.
The installation is a large round dome, with cameras surrounding it, taking panoramic pictures of what's happening around the dome every minute. All the pictures get stored and can be accessed through the web, or from inside the dome. Here's the interesting bit: the shots are displayed on screens, and the screens react on the viewer - the closer one stands to the screen, the farther the memory recedes.
I got rather impressed when I saw it in Edinburgh, although I was hoping they would set it up at the top of the Mound rather than at the bottom. Anyway, the pictures were fine. Has anyone else seen it?
