Did you try contacting the St. Sophia Cathedral and asking? Perhaps you could even go see the painting in person if you live close enough.

It's too far away from where I live but I was searching the web for a press release or critical review. If Michael Huffington paid for the Dean to sit for the portrait and he donated 2 million for a building in his name, I figured there would be something written up about the artist who I notice has painted an Earl in England. |

Its too far away but I love this guy's work. I have been search the web to see if there was an official unveiling since the paintings was commissioned by Michael Huffington for the opening of a building in his name attached to the Cathedral. I found the painting on the artists website and on a online fine art site but I can't find a press release, there is nothing that talks about it in blogs and I can't find a an art critics review or info about the opening of the building and the portrait in any newspaper. This artist has painted an Earl in England and it seems he invented the Piambura method although there isn't much attribution online. I think he's fantastic and would like to see his work exhibited on the east coast.

I don't live anywhere near LA. I love this guy's work and I saw the painting appear on his website. So I have been looking for press releases or articles in newspapers in LA since the painting was commissioned by the former senator of California, Michael Huffington and is hanging in a building connected to the cathedral that Huffington donated 2 million to build. I can't find anything but two posts of the portrait. One on the artist's website and the other in the Living Masters section dedicated to Adrian Gottlieb on the Art Renewal Center Website. I can't find any discussions about the painting in any blogs either. All I found was another Gottlieb website that cleared up that it was Gottlieb who invented Piambura painting method that's all over the web but doesn't mention him. That's on Http://www.Piambura.com I hoped someone knew more about this painter and that he might exhibit on the east coast. I would like to see his work up close. I read in a magazine that he paints exclusively from live models and clients. |
