EXTREMELY SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL
Call For Entries Early deadline postmarked by May 1st, 2009. Late deadline postmarked by May 11th, 2009. Aurora Picture Show's twelfth annual Extremely Shorts Festival features three-minute or shorter films and videos by artists, filmmakers, culture jammers, students, moms, security guards, and anyone with a camera and a vision. This year’s juror is Bill Arning. Mr. Arning was the Curator at the MIT List Center in Boston, MA and will be the new Director of the Contemporary Art Museum of Houston beginning in April. Guidelines for Entries: Entrants may submit up to three titles. Each title must run three minutes or shorter (including titles and credits). Multiple submissions may be compiled. Acceptable formats for submission: DVD and online. For online submissions, provide the web address (we recommend vimeo.com) and if your video is selected you will need to provide a hi-res version. Materials will not be returned without a self-addressed stamped envelope. Entry fee is $15 per title for early deadline and $20 per title for late deadline. We give out cash awards for Audience Choice 1st ($200), 2nd ($150), and 3rd ($75) place. Entry forms may be requested by calling 713-868-2101, or downloaded from www.aurorapictureshow.org.
