A new Henry Matisse exhibit called "Radical Reinvention" just opened up at MoMA in NYC. I still have yet to check it out but I plan on doing so in the near future. It's his work from his "crazy" period of 1913-1917. I myself can relate to the frustration an artist goes through when trying to reinvent their work. If i had kept all the old work that I destroyed then I would probably be able to fill up my garage! Well, if anyone wants to investigate further you can check out the blog I just read. I tried to google search "Radical Reinvention" to find other articles on it but to no avail.
