The Antique/Flea market dealer said he purchased a trunk that had not been opened since 1944. The lady who owned the trunk came from Germany.
The painting is filthy, maybe with something that appears to be nicotine The frame is not original to the painting. It might be a watercolor or oil done almost in a wash. It measures 12" tall and 7 1/2" wide. The signature in the lower right corner appears to be M Bruggeman or bruggemun 1914. ![]() . |
