Hello Everyone,
This is my first post and I wanted to tell you about my new retreat - Art for Art Lovers Retreat. In 2001, I purchased a Victorian Home, built in the 1890s, and renovated the sun room into a large studio. This year, 2009, I decided to go ahead with my dreams for the retreat. It is a special place that I have carved out for myself and other artists to escape their busy lives and treat themselves to something special - a place to rest, study, work, play, socialize with other artists, or spend private time. upon request, I also teach classes and conduct workshops. In addition to the studio, there's four large bedrooms, a large living room facing a wrap-around porch overlooking vistas to whet the appetites of any artist. There is also a large kitchen, and dining room, and a large deck on the back of the house. The retreat sits atop a large hill among beautiful old Oak trees. It is within walking distance of the small town of Fort Payne, Al, and minutes from Lookout Mountain, Desoto State Park, Little River Canyon, and Mentone, Al, which is a small art community. The rates are modest. This is my welcome to you! |
