Default Graphic designer - Ryan McGinness

I would like to debate the line that separates graphic design from fine art? Is there such a line?



A found an example study of Ryan McGinness. The artist left his graphic design profession a bit frustrated by the hindrance of an company and various design compromises. He abandoded his profession to become a fine art graphic artist. Now he is quite successful graphic artist.

I agree that his works can be displayed and hung on the wall and all, but so can the works of many graphic designers that I know, yet they're not considered artists. So...
