Help me figure out what this painting is called and who it is by!!
I am trying to figure out the title and author of a painting i saw a long time ago in an antique shop in Florida. It kind of looks like the Magritte style, but I have been unable to find this particular painting in any of his works. The painting is of a living room or parlor. There is a fireplace in the center with ice or snow coming out of it. To the right of the fireplace is a doorway with a very large ship coming in the door. There is water washing into the room from the doorway. On the left hand side of the room, there is another doorway through which you can see ice burgs or large pieces of ice, and there is a hot air balloon floating over them. In front of the fireplace, two little girls are playing. Their dresses seem to almost be invisible and just their heads and limbs are visible. I think there may be bookcases either around the fireplace or on the right side of the room. The room has hardwood floors. This is all i seem to remember since it has been so many years since i saw it. I could kick myself for not buying the painting. I have since tried to track the painting down, but the antique shop has closed. Please, if you have any idea who might have painted this or anything else about it, I would appreciate it so very much. I just want to see it again. It was the most amazing painting. Thank you so much!!!
