Sorry, but how do you start new threads in the main section??
I want to ask about an artist Marc: I was searching for information about A Marc on the internet and came across this site and now I have joined. Many years ago I was given a picture by some friends who had cleared out their parents' house. Over time the frame became loose and eventually I took it apart to take the painting out. Underneath this painting I found a print (or lithograph - can someone tell me the difference?) with the name Marc on the front. On the back it says A Marc pinx, Lago di Lugano. Serie 1036 No. 83, and the printers Stehli Freres, Editeurs, Zurich. It is a beautiful watercolour painting in very muted tones with the detail drawn over in pastel or charcoal. Does anyone know where the original painting may be? Hoping for reply (and info on how to start a new thread (I am a Junior member). MelieB www.almeriaart.com |

Greetings ArtConversation Visitors,
I thought I would post more about Melanie's art. She is a Portrait Artist and painter in Almeria, southern Spain, specialising in painting portraits of people in pastels, but also does paintings of scenes, landscapes, Indalos and buildings. Here is her site: http://www.almeriaart.com/ She included it in the signature of her post, but some of you may have missed it. Judy Decker |

A.Marc / Marc is a pseudonym for the real artist Nicolas Markovitch
