Question Using software to help manage growing body of work

Hey all,

I was looking for information on computer programs that help artists manage their growing body of work, but didn't find much on discussion forums at all. Maybe we can collect and exchange our findings here?

My findings are modest, actually, and I'm quite frustrated. I couldn't find much software at all for managing art and helping take care of the (so important!) business aspects.

There's a few hugely expensive programs, mostly used by museums and large galleries (GalleryPro, Artbase). Then there's a online programs (such as CollectorSystems) - but do you really feel comfortable storing sensitive information about your work online??. And finally, there's a really inexpensive one (My Art Collection). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to do all that much.

Also, there seems to be a brand new one out there called ArtVault Pro. Has anyone heard of this? Any experience with it? They don't charge monthly licensing, and seems pretty flexible.

What do you all use? Any input on the subject most appreciated!

I think the best solution is Artnetbook. ARTNEBTOOK.com - art gallery software for art galleries, artists, collectors. Store artworks, make collections, run exhibitions, show and sell your art online!

That's a typo in the post above. The name is Artnetbook. That person posted 3 other links in different threads, so I assume they are promoting the site. Or maybe just a satisfied customer?

Default Art gallery software online

I also tried Artnetbook.com and became very satisfied with the very user friendly gallery software online. This gallery online software for managing online collections, exhibitions, and art galleries in general. It is very easy to understand, catchy design, and now they are launching Free art market and making it an open source online art platform, community according to their news! Check it out, yourselve.
