Default Pictures Brought Home from WW2

I have someone who thinks their uncle brought these pictures (not sure if they are painting, drawings, or prints) home from WW2 when he was stationed overseas. Thre are 4 pages all a little larger than a piece of paper. I can't tell what the signature is on them or what they say off to the side of each. It will only let me post 5 pics so I just put the first 2 pictures. We were wondering if anyone knew anything about them or how much they may be worth. Anything would help in our search. Thank you!

The signature reads Marcel Augis. There's lots of information about him on Google.

If you type the artist's name into Google, one of the first results clearly states "Marcel Augis (pseudonym of H. Dupont)". Maybe the signatures are "H. Dupont" or "Paul Mansard" (another pseudonym Dupont used) or some other made-up name.

This is all in Google. You don't really need anyone to be doing this research for you. Just search with a little creativity and a little persistence and you'll be amazed at what you can find.

Google entries can be misleading.

The 1st picture is of St Maclou in Rouen, there are day and night versions of this scene. Augis did 5 or 6 pictures of Rouen all dated 1916/7.

After the war his subjects changed but usually remained French or Belgian. However, the second picture is of Delft in Holland.

Nobody has yet satisfactorily identified H Dupont. Paul Mansard is a different artist

Can you show us these different signatures? Sometimes because of agreements with dealers artists had multiple identities. The same picture with 3 different signatures would be interesting to know about.

Rue de l'epicerie is in Rouen near the cathedral, the old buildings shown were destroyed inn 1939-45. Augis produced 5 or 6 scenes of Rouen in 1916/17.
The place was militarily important and the site of many hospitals. That could be how your print go to Ireland if I read your email address correctly
This is not a particularly rare print and its value is very dependent on condition. Has it been mounted, how severely have the margins been cut, browning. etc. ? The prints usually go cheaply in auctions, often combined with others. However there one or two collectors around and Augis' pictures are often attractive.
