Request help with Bavarian Artist
Hello all,
I recently inherited this painting and have tried to ID the artist but keep coming up short. I was hoping the group could help. I think the name starts with "S" and maybe ends with "ING" but can't find anyone matching that description. I think the word under the signature is "Munchen" (Munich) and there is a reference on the back that has about a third of it left that mentions landscapes in Bavaria. Thank you, P.S. I know I cropped a good portion of the painting to cut down file size but the signature jpeg should be clear. |

Possibly ends "berg"? It might help to track down someone who speaks German.
