Default Possible Velasquez?

My family and I have been trying to identify the artist of this painting. We suspect it may be Spanish, possibly Velasquez or one of his followers. Any clues or info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

It's by Publio Tommasi. A wonderful painting, although from the 19th century instead of the Baroque era.

It was sold at Christie's in 2008 for $19,000. Unless there are multiple versions of it floating around, that seems like quite a bargain.
