I am looking for this painting but doesn't know how to search!

Hi,

I have little (or no) experience at all with paintings and want to search for the attached painting.

Does anyone know what category this painting belongs (e.g abstract etc.)

I don't want the exact painting but something similar. Please help

I'd say it's abstract and probably by the same person who did the other paintings on the left and right of it. If you are looking for similar paintings, try looking up "pure abstraction" or "abstract expressionism".
