I have the same painting of the rabbit in the black top hat. Mine is beautifully framed in a big gold frame. Bought it at a auction and know nothing about it. I just liked it and bid on it and won the bid

There is " Harris" scribed on the bottom of the painting. Have searched but can't find a thing on it.

Would like to buy another one for my office or something else by the painter if mass produced

It doesn't say who the artist was.

Default Watercolour

Years ago, I was given a wonderful water colour depicting two very young children in the garden (approx 3yr olds)). They are standing under a shuttered window by a rose bush. It is rather old and the subject is about sexual curiosity.
The little boy has picked some flowers and is offering them to the little girl in return for lifting her dress. He is wearing a blue dungaree type thing and she has a little red and white hat/bonnet/scarf.
It is entitled 'Emotion' and is signed but I cannot make out the signature. It looks like l***** Redon. There are also two or three words written above the signature but I cannot read that either.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Red face Old Painting of boy with a hat

I have a copy of a portrait with a boy with a redish (rim) and white cap that falls down to a point with a subtle tassel on the end. His complexion is fair and his eyelids are unique and intriguing. He is wearing problem a peasant boy's shirt that is brown with a black sleeveless smock over it. His is slightly smiling with soft dimples, but his eyes look troubled or lonely. I would like to know the name and artist of this. Thank you.

Hi Gail. I have one of the largest Empress of Ireland collections in private hands that can be viewed at www.Empress-of-Ireland-Klausen.ca. I would love to talk about your painting. Thanks, Chris

Default egyptian art

hi i am trying to figure out where to find more informtaion on this egyptian papyrus painting. who it by or at least the name of it so i can research it. It has three figures. The one in the middle has the darkest complextion with his head turned to the left. With a king tut style head dress. The figure on the left is blue with a white hat, head dress type thing. with its head turned to the right looking at the middle figure. the figure on the left also is sitting on a chair type thing with horizontal multicolor stripes. To the right of the center figure there is a slighty lighter brown complexion of the middle figure facing to the left as well walking in same step as middle figure and same height. It appears to have a falcon or bird face with a white head dress on as well similar to the one on the far left. It also has a multicolored blue striped head dress on under the hat similar to the king tut refrence. There is also heiroglyphics at the top center of the painting. The painting has a border of multiple stripes around three figures. I hope this was enough detail. Thank you so much! Please help!

Hi,

I have just acquired an impressionist type painting of a girl in a white dress sitting reading in a rose garden (near the gated entrance). Anybody know who painted it?

If you register a user id you can upload a picture. Even before doing that, you should try Google's reverse search engine. Go to Google Images and click on the little camera icon inside the search box. Then, instead of typing in text, you can upload a picture to use as the search criteria. Works a surprising amount of the time.

Default 19th century genre painting

Back in the early 1980s I often purchased Marcel Schurman greeting cards which pictured various nineteenth century European genre paintings. One birthday card showed an oil painting of a farm family seated at their table, with a horse sticking his head into the room through a window, and a dog, cat, and perhaps other animals in the room as well. I believe the artist was Scandanavian, possibly Danish, and the painting was probably done in the 1860 - 1890 time period. Any clues or suggestions to the artist and title would be greatly appreciated.

This large lithograph ( it is signed and numbered) has slipped down in the frame so I can't read the artist's name. Does anyone recognize the artist? Sorry for the poo rquality photo.
It is a room and a hallway with floating shiny grey spheres. There is a framed print on the wall in the room of an outdoor scene.

How can I find the name of an artist from unsigned artwork? I have a painting entitled "Mill by the Sea" with a label from Conrad Hug(?) Galleries in Kansas City, Missouri. I also have a series of 4 paintings sized 7-1/2 x 20 of stringed musical instruments entitled "Musical Instruments" with artist listed as "A 116-4" with a label from the Georgia Art Supply Company in Atlanta, Georgia.

If you register a user id you can upload it yourself. If you're going to do that, better to start a new thread rather than posting in this one. Just go to the "Questions" forum page and click the "New Thread" button in the upper left.

Leonind Afremov, apparently a very popular painter. Several people have posted threads here asking who painted this or that, and it turned out to be Afremov.
