Anna Sophie Gasteiger
I am a great admirer of Anna Sophie Gasteiger. I have only two of her works and they are prints. I am looking for a catalogue of her complete works. If you know of where I might obtain a catalogue please contact me. I am also interested in buying more of her work either as good quality prints or originals.

I have a signed what looks to be a water color paiting. It is an original. Are you interested? Contact me at csrojas@msn.com. I found it in my parents attic behind my great grandparents marriage certificate. I have no idea how it got to southern california. Carlos

Anna GAsteiger lived on lake Ammersee near Munich, Bavaria, Germany. There is an Artist Hous (Künstlerhaus Gasteiger in Holzhausen am Ammersee ) named after her. Many interesting exhebitions are held throughout the year there. I live net to this village of Holzhausen. I have a very high quality Oil painting. does any one have more info about this artist? My wife and I have a painting that looks like an original that belonged to her Great Grandmother from Germany. It is a water color floral painting. We were just trying to find out what something like this would be worth. thanks.

I still haven't found a catalogue of her work. But I've managed to collect many pictures of some of her paintings. I'm still interested in obtaining prints or paintings by her. Please send contact info if you have one of her works.
I'm also interested in recent auction prices for her original paintings. Also I've noticed several "fakes" of her work listed on ebay. |

anna gasteiger print of 'begonias' (or 'WEIFEE UND GELBE BEGONIUM')
Hi, I bought a 400 year old map of the island of anglesey recently, and when I removed the frame and found that the backing sheet had a print of the above picture on the other side - the frame clearly hadnt been removed for decades, so I assume it is an old print (it also has 2 stamps at the bottom left, right below her name: I dont know what they mean, but they could be dealer stamps from the orignal shop that sold it); from looking at the original painting online my version seems to have had a couple of inches shaved off the top and left side to make it the same size as the antique map hiding it; I'm perfectly happy to sell it, if anyone is interested.

I would also be interested in a catalogue or further information about anna gasteiger. I have two framed prints, one titled "Poppies" 20/424. The other, also a flower print is equally as nice but no details on the back.
They are delightful and I would love to know more about her work |
