Default Guidance in identifying artist signature

Newbie in the art culture and have been trying in vain and with little success in making out/identifying the signature on a painting I recently obtained.

Any guidance to web sites where I might do more calculated search appreciated.

Assuming it's in Western script, it seems to be a mixture of upper- and lower-case letters, which adds to the confusion. I thought it might read "H. Lazuri", but none of the ideas I have tried have let to any known artists or even any plausible names.
