Default Help!

I saw this parody and would like to know what the name of the original it is based off of is called or who it is by. I searched all over the internet but can't find a thing and it's driving me crazy!

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__...f/f3/Edith.JPG

If you follow the link you will see an image of the parody from an episode of "Sonny with a Chance".

If someone could help me in any way I would be soooooo GRATEFUL!!

Did you ever find out the artist for this painting? I am ALSO looking to find this and have no idea where to look! It was in Ikea a while back but it's no longer there... let me know if you found out the answer!

I saw a painting a long while ago either at Ikea or possibly John lewis. I have no idea what it is called or the painter, :-( and I really want to get hold of the painting!

It was of an elegant silhouette of a woman in a dress, however there is no detail in the womans face, her fance is simply a circle. The painting looks like it is done in one single brush stroke in black paint against a plain white canvas, It is very simple and vague yet effective, i think even her arms were not fully painted in any detail. It is literally like a sketch of a woman in a dress but is done really well, that gives the full picture without any detail.

I really hope someone can help me!

Default Help!

In July I visited the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and fell in love with a painting. I believe it was called 'Peter Pan', or at least was of peter pan, but the name of the artist has lost me! It was a beautiful oil painting, showing peter pan sitting on a windowsill (maybe smoking a cigarette) looking out over a city at night (possibly Paris). It was covered in dark greens, blues and turquoises. Very mystical. Help!?

It would help if you could post a picture (you have to register first, then use the paperclip icon).

Hi, I was at the Chicago institute of art last year and I fell in love with a painting I saw there but I can't remember the name of it, or who painted it.

I guess you could say it was impressionistic, it was mostly white with people holding candles, except it was mostly blurry so you couldn't make out shapes, just points of light from the candles in what looked like a foggy dawn. Maybe it was called "dawn funeral procession" or something. IIRC it was in a room with monet. The most striking thing about it was the light.

I know this is a horrible description but if you know what I'm talking about please respond I will keep an eye on this thread. Thanks!

Gaston La Touche - Pardon in Brittany? This is the only one I could locate that comes close to your description.

Hi everyone. My sister is looking for the name of a painting and I'm trying to help her out but am having no luck. I'm not sure who it's by but it's a painting of two guys stumbling out of a bar both wearing red and white striped scarves. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks in advance,
Adam

Default Painting

Can anybody tell me what this painting is?

It's an oval frame. A young lady in a white dress with lace covering her hair, a broach pinned to her dress, shes holding a red bible, theres a small boy in a blue suit looking at her and behind the lady is a mantle piece with an angel and child ornament on it, above the ornament is a picture of a man, a lady and two small children that have no clothes on?

If you have a picture of it you can upload it using the paperclip icon. You need to register a user id first.
