Default Hopeing to identify.

Found this old painting in the attic while cleaning up. I have no history. Any help is appreciated!

I'm fairly sure the signature is "Lionello Balestrieri" (Italian, 1872-1958). Google Images even shows paintings of Beethoven and Chopin by the same artist!

Any hit at to which piece this is? I am unable to locate it searching for that artist.. I admit the signature is the same, but can't find an image online that matches.

It's probably a painting of Chopin, given that it loosely resembles another Balestrieri painting of Chopin you can see online.

But if it's an original painting, rather than a copy or a print of some kind, then THIS is the piece. It's a one-of-a-kind.

I'm guessing it's a copy. <shrug> probably being it is a print of some sort, and i would assume the original would be oil on canvas, as are more of his.
