Hello everyone, I have really enjoyed what ive read here and Im hopeful someone might be able to help. I have come accross the artist H. Grandville three or four times. Most recently in a home in Memphis. I will attach a photo of the most recent work i discovered by the artist. This painting like all from this painter have been oil on wood. This is a civil war era painting. The few works of this painter have been roughly dated as late 1800's to 1920's. I have found no solid leads to who this artist was or where he or she lived. I would like to note that the frames have square head (homemade looking) nails. Help please. Thank you.

I can't find any record anywhere of such an artist. Did they actually sign the paintings "H. Grandville"?
