    found 2 pieced at a rummage sale. need help

Default found 2 pieced at a rummage sale. need help

here is the video. i found both pieces at a rummage sale. paid 1.00 for both. the rabi one i could find some information about but not much the 2nd piece i cant even read the sig. and the picture was miss labeled in the frame.and it was framed and sealed in 1959 and never opened since. see the video. any help on these would be great. http://youtu.be/q_JtRU61CnU THATS THE VID.

The artist is Alfred Heinz Kettmann. There is some information about his work here: http://www.findartinfo.com/search/li...?keyword=43858. I'm sure you will be able to find more.

Of course, the other by Chagall is a print of the original that is in Venice. http://www.abcgallery.com/C/chagall/chagall81.html

The artist of the first one is A. H. Kettermann (Alfred Heinz Kettermann). There is a good deal of information about him on the Internet. Hope this is helpful.

Thanks, wtbooks. The Art Institute of Chicago also has a version of this painting, which is presumably the one in the print since he mentions the AIC in the video.

If the first one is an original or at least an original print then maybe it's worth something. The second one looks like a simple reproduction of a famous painting, which wouldn't have much intrinsic value. Of course you can't say anything reliable about value without having an expert see it in person.
