Can anyone make out the artist name from this signature. I just have no clue. Any help would be well received. Thanks

It seems to me that it clearly ends in "atian", and the only question is the first letter. It looks most like a "D", but it could perhaps be a "C" or an "L" or a fancified version of some other letter.
To my surprise, there is a moderately well-known Chinese artist named He Datian. He's in Findartinfo.com and his work might be valuable. He's also in the Hugh Hefner Art Collection, the reference for which is easily found in Google. The paintings of He Datian that I've seen don't particularly resemble this one, so it's likely a different person. But it makes me think that "Datian" is the correct reading of the signature. |

P.S. Check this out this eBay listing I just stumbled upon. Per your other thread you're asking about a painting of a horse, so this lead looks promising.

P.P.S. I see that Eirene and I had the same idea at the exact same time. Great minds and all that.

Yes, he's apparently the same artist who does these bright interiors, which seems to be well done but are just this side of saccharine-sweet. I haven't found a close-up of a signature I can compare, but it seems likely.
