Anyone familiar with the artist L. Mersing?

After my father passed I found an oil painting with this artists name. Would like any info you can provide.

Findartinfo.com has a record of one work by "L. Mersing" going up for auction but being unsold (i.e. nobody reached the minimum bid). There may be more details about the sale available if you register ($5 for 1 day's access).

There are several other eBay listings under "C. Mersing" as well, easily found via Google or Google Images.
