Default Please help this Gypsy Woman find her artist's name

Hi
My name is Val and I’m new to this site. I am also new to art appreciation. Paintings I should actually say as my wife and I enjoy many nice pieces of glass, ceramic and metal sculptures from the regional artists in and around the western Carolinas. We picked up a painting recently of a dark haired woman.. a gypsy perhaps, holding a violin held upright resting on her thigh. We are musicians and often like to see instruments incorporated into the work. It's a large painting measuring 24" X 36" tall. Of course the Internet has been a wonderful tool for identification but I have failed completely in teasing out the artist’s name. I’ve attached images of the signature and of the painting in hopes that someone may recognize the artist. Thanks are in abundance for all that reply.

Regards
Val

Forgive me. I think perhaps I’ve committed some sort of faux pas in posting an image rather than a link.
I’ve removed the pictures and posted links.

Sorry
Val

The counter shows 75 views, so I'm sure a lot of people have taken a look without success. I don't have any suggestions about any part of the signature.

Default Thank you.

John, Thank you.

Although I’ve been unsuccessful in identifying this artist, I appreciate the opportunity to post here. Thanks to everyone that took the time to have a look. Should I later identify him/her I’ll post an update.

Regards
Val
