When my grandparents, who both immigrated from Ireland, got married before the turn of the 20th century, they bought a picture of the holy family's Flight Into Egypt. It is framed with a gold plate and name on the front. I looked up the painting online and found that the picture was listed as "artist unknown". Who would I contact to find out if the name on the gold plate is the painter or framer? I would like to know more history aboout the painter and the painting, which is over 100 years old.
