I believe this tile is by Dutch artist C.L. Fels
Greetings,
To begin with, I know virtually nothing about painted tiles. This tile, however, attracted our attention so we picked it up. Now comes the task of trying to identify it. Is it a cheap reproduction or something more? We think the signature is C. L. Fels, a Dutch painter of the early/mid 20th century. Beyond that shaky assumption we know nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. C. Fels
I've got a very similar tile picture, same church, same street scene, though it is summer (leaves on the tree) signed C. Fels. Have you found any other information on your piece of art? My painting is 5-3/4" x 5-3/4". Eva
