Default Anyone out there know Darryl Trott's work?

Looking for help on finding a Darryl Trott original painting or trying to find pricingon his original work. Curious about originals that have not been reproduced for print vs originals that are reproduced.

Thanks - TC

I have a DT circa 1994/5 painted for an Australian customer on consignment. I purchased from DT personally and paid Aust$6,000.

Painting is labelled Blue Bearded Iris and is in artist's original frame.

I'd be interested in resale value also.

Cheers.

Default I own two original Darryl Trott watercolors

I have two paintings purchased from Darryl back in 1986 and 1991.
One entitled “Lotus Lake”. It is 54” wide x 37” tall. It was painted in 1986 and acquired directly from Darryl in Austin, Texas. The painting is currently framed and hanging in San Antonio, Texas.
The other is entitled "Tropical Splendor" and was commissioned in 1991. It is 40" wide x 28" tall and also framed.

If interested, please let me know and I will forward a photo of the work.

Hi MAR,

I am interested in seeing pics of your 2 DT's. I have a couple of LE prints but would love to look at buying an original or 2 for private collector (who LOVES DT paintings)

Smile Darryl Trotts sighted

I saw and went back several times to feast my eyes with 2 Darryl Trotts, the last being yesterday. They are at Manhattan Art and Antique Center at 55th and 2nd Av. The owner of the shop, claims that they are originals and she is asking for $6.000 apiece. I have checked the print collection on the web, the ones she has are not among those. I would like to know if those two ever get printed.

Default signed limited edition prints

I have several of Darryl's SLE prints, a matched set of #16's of several of his first works that were reproduced...so sorry to hear of his passing and am grateful to have met him in Atlanta and be the owner of so many of his beautiful prints.

My wife and I bought an original by Darryl Trott in May of 2002. The Title is: "Garden of Gardenias". It is approximately 22 1/2" x 30". No prints were made from this original.

Default Two originals from San Antonio

I met Darryl and his mother, Cora, in a gallery in San Antonio many years ago. He was such a nice man and even invited us to visit him in Cairns--since his passing I'm so sorry we never went! My husband and I bought two paintings and Darryl and the gallery owner came to our house to hang them. One is a large tropical and the other is a small one of pansies. I don't believe either of them have been reproduced because at the time Darryl was not doing that. We have moved several times and have always featured the paintings in our home. Ann, now in Sequim Washington.
