I was out driving yesterday and found this painting at the curb. I really like it. It's pretty big. Nothing on the back. It's black velvet stretched into the frame (which looks hand made)
I can't read the signature at all. Looks to be oil on velvet. I would appreciate any help I can get! Also, on a side note, does anyone know anything about marwal ind inc?? I have a tiger statue of theirs and can't find any info about them. heres some pics of the painting thanks for looking and any help you can offer me ~Hollie http://www.flickr.com/photos/97385345@N00/3005569953/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/97385345@N00/3005569965/ |

Wild guess at the signature... "Moire"? (With an accent over the e)

thanks, I googled it.
Not seeing anything conclusive yet. This is frustrating. I'm an artist and I ALWAYS sign my work legibly. grr.. I thought it would be easy seeings that its signed in the lower left and on velvet...but that isn't as unusual as I thought it was |

Do you still have the Marwal tiger? If so, I have some answers for you.
