It's not a great photograph, but it looks like the subject might be the abduction of Helen of Troy.
As for the artist, the figures are dandied up in a Pre-Raphaelite kind of way. To me it looks the most like the work of John Everett Millais or Henry Holiday. These are just guesses, though. |
