Default What is the name of this Robert Wood painting?

During Christmas, my younger sister and I were in my mother's basement and found a painting that my grandmother had. It is signed Robert Wood in the lower right hand corner. It looks like it could be signed in ink or paint. It seems to be an oil painting, but I have no clue.

I researched Robert Wood, there are several artists that appear. I found one whose paintings look very similar to this one, but I can't find the exact painting. After looking at the paintings online, I realized that I should have looked on the back...I don't think we paid any attention to the back.

I do not know when my grandmother received the painting. My mother said she thinks in the 1950s or 1960s. She worked for a white couple, The Boykins, and they always gave her things. I would assume that the painting is real because of all of the things that The Boykins gave her.

My mother's house is full of antiques. She has coffee and end tables with the leather on it that is trimmed in gold, china cabinets, buffets, and a lot more. I just want to know the name of the painting. We are not selling any of the stuff. It'll be passed down to my sister and myself later on (my mother is only 51. My grandmother adopted my mother.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. And sorry the picture is not so good. I can't find the charger for the dslr so I can't upload the better picture. The picture I am uploading is from my cell phone. Please don't get tricked like I did. I thought I had found the painting, but it's different than the painting that I have. They are very similar.

Well if this is an original oil painting, then it's unlikely that you will find an exact match online. If you found a painter named Robert Wood whose paintings are very similar to this, the next step would be to try to find an example of his signature and compare it to the one on your painting.
