I bought a random painting at an auction simply because I like it. It's oil on canvas. I found a faint signature on it that I can't quite make out. Sadly this is all i know about this painting.

It possibly looks like the artist signature B***wood ... or B. ***wood, maybe? The only thing i am certain of is the last portion of the name is wood. I can't upload a picture of the signature because it is not visible in photos

I have attached an image if anyone has any ideas or can send me in a better direction for research.
