Need Help Identifying 2 artists
I have inherited 2 pieces of art that appear to be; 1) a hand colored lithograph and 2) a screened oriental print. The first one (the handcolored lithograph) is signed and numbered, in pencil, along the bottom of the piece. In the lower right is the artist name of Dietrich Neufeld. In the lower left of the piece is the name "Sawgrass Marsh" and in between the two, it is numbered 3/36. I cannot find this artist anywhere.
The second piece is probably from the 50's or earlier. It is oriental in nature, 2 musicians playing in an Oriental Tea garden. The piece is colored but also with gold ink over the colors and the name Beaumant (?) in the lower right hand corner. Again the artist name appears in gold printed over the signature but both appear to be mechanically reproduced as opposed to the first piece. If I were to guess, I would have to say that it was colored and then highlighted in gold mechanically with a press or multiple step screening process.
Any help identifying these two pieces would be greatly appreciated, I would like to get them re-matted and re framed but need to know what to hang on to or if original matting/frame is worth keeping. Matts on both are sort of 'worn' and but original to both pieces. Framing only exisits for the oriental piece and it is black bamboo with gold jointing.
