I intend to subscribe to some sort of an online database for art value, auction prices, signatures, pictures etc.
Before subscribing I wanted to ask the professionals here what their suggestions would be. What are the most comprehensive databases for valuing fine art? Thanks for your help! |

findartvalue.com, artinfo.com and findartinfo.com are currently free, although limited. If you're doing detailed research you should use more than one of these because none of them is truly comprehensive.
Artprice.com is pricey but very complete. I have very limited experience with other pay sites such as askart.com and artnet.com, so I can't really compare. |

Also liveauctioneers is free. Registration is also free and allows you to view prices. |

Yes, thanks, artvalue.com is what I meant. MutualArt.com and artnet.com are other pay sites to consider. Each of these pay sites has a slightly different focus and has different things to recommend them.
